Medical Laboratory “STATUS” opened doors on the 1st September 2004. It has been established with plenty of enthusiasm and willingness to make it a place famous for the quality examination of patients and their attentive service. We hope that since our start till present, we have managed to fulfill this goal. The growing number of our patients, as well as the confidence, built among the GPs and specialists, once again proves the above stated. 

 “Status” has been licensed in accordance with the law for Public health institutions and has obtained all certificates required for its legitimate functioning. Laboratory is fitted with exceptionally up-to date equipment, ISO certified and meets all the requirements for quality, precision and short terms of presenting test results. The laboratory conducts paid tests as well as those sponsored by the public Health Fund. There is an established system for internal control of the laboratory tests and SMDL “STATUS is also a part of a system for outer control and quality evaluation. Safety environment for carrying out the tests has been provided in the laboratory. Safety of our patients and safety of the medical staff are both our concern. The so called closed systems for single use are provided for carrying out the blood tests. They are burned after obtaining the results. SMDL “STATUS” staff is people of long medical background and proved skills. Manager is M.D. Todorov, Svetoslav – clinical laboratory expert, possessing long experience in this field. Senior laboratory assistant is Mrs.Laleva, Ruska, who has proved to be an exceptionally precised tester. Two other laboratory assistants work in our branch offices in “Majchin Dom” and Kajsieva Gradina” – Mrs Ivanka Tzoneva and Mrs Kalina Kujumdzhieva – both of them proved authorities on lab carried tests. Administrative assistant is Ms Vanya Encheva. All employees of SMDL “STATUS speak foreign languages (English, Russian, Italian) and this facilitates the conduct of our every day tasks as some of our patients are foreigners on permanent stay in Bulgaria. There is a special transport provided for the laboratory. A carrier transports the laboratory materials between separate offices and there is also a transportation provided for the home visits of patients.
